The Choir and congregation gave her a gift during the worship service that morning. Ella Mae was also honored by a reception following worship.<br /><br />Here is what Ella Mae says:<br />To my friends at Capitol Hill Christian Church,<br />I appreciate your support and friendship during the past five years. Serving as choir director has been a rewarding experience, and I will always treasure the memories. The gift certificate was truly a great surprise and extremely generous. I also appreciate the notes written at church, and I will keep them to remind me of your loving and supportive spirit.<br /><br />Even though I will not be choir director, I hope to continue to support the music of the church by participating in the choir and in small groups.
